Masters of the arts???

It's been a long time, just possibly too long ago. I remember when there was a Master of each System. Since Martial Arts has come to the United States Masters just like systems have cropped up all over the place. Last week I was told of a school that has no less than seven (7) masters teaching and not a one of them is over 25 years of age. Some of us who have been in the arts for forty to fifty plus years are wondering, when do you claim Mastership? Once you had to wait until you’re Grand Master Passed on then everybody moved up, or Master passed on or retired. I know of a couple Masters still alive and well and students of their system are claiming Mastership over them. BUSHIDO
PEOPLE!! WHERE IS THE RESPECT? Some say it’s a new day. But with the same old moves! There’s not been a new move implemented since Benny the Jet created the last one 15 or maybe 25 years ago. BUSHIDO PEOPLE!
Black Belts keep teaching, but also teach respect between black belts. Try that New/Old trick.

Please remember, there is a Martial arts system for anyone with discipline. I remember when there was only 4 or 5 systems published or taught. As the years have passed the systems names have changed but the basics remain the same. What wins tournaments as well as street confrontations "BASICS". You can never get away from that one fact. As you train start with the basics then continue into advanced techniques. Train with someone who's abilities are equal to or greater than yours.
